Freshly Pressed Print Fair, Barnsley

  • The Civic Hanson Street Barnsley, S70 2HZ (map)

This is a brand new print fair for South Yorkshire, in Barnsley, which holds a special place for me, being the place of my first graduate fashion design job and home town of a great friend of mine.

The fair will feature a wide range of artists and designers from Barnsley and the wider region, selling artist prints, photography and illustration, printed textiles and homewares, and also locally published books and zines.

As part of Freshly Pressed, The Civic’s first ever contemporary print fair, there will also be live music and spoken word performances all day for all to enjoy for free. The line-up features; The Delicateers, songwriter Del Scott Miller, Lewy and Dal from The Rolling Down Hills, folk musician and poet Ray Hearne, poet Jethro Platts and singer songwriter Tom Masters.

Children can print their own animal themed bookmark in a free drop-in workshop, suitable for ages 4 – 12 years.
