Looking forward to being back at this wonderful event in one of my favourite places, I will be exhibiting at Greystones again, a 17th century grade II listed house that was originally a village inn called the Golden Lion – and reputedly a hotbed of smuggling activity! 

I have come together with three wonderful Yorkshire artists to share this space...

Anna Tosney who produces prints through monoprint and drypoint, inspired by the animals and farmers of the Yorkshire countryside. She has also used collograph in some of her recent work too.

Caroline Brogden of Sea Breeze Design, makes beautiful hand made jewellery inspired by the sea in both silver and gold.

Charlotte Morrison makes ceramics inspired by vintage packaging and her most recent collection looks at paths and contours in the Yorkshire landscape.

During this weekend the cottages of Staithes will open to the public as temporary galleries. There will be work by some 30 resident and many visiting artists.

Visitors can walk the maze of lanes visiting these spaces as well as taking part in a programme of guided walks, workshops, talks and film shows. Heritage too plays an important part in the life of the village and will be celebrated in events and exhibitions throughout the weekend. There will be a vibrant programme of music ranging from street buskers to concerts.
