Having lived in Kirkstall for several years, and having spend a lot of time visiting there, this screen print has been a long time coming.

I been thinking about it for so long time but finding the right view and atmosphere was really important to me. I always try to depict things in a way I think about them and with Kirkstall Abbey for me it’s the memories of sitting in sun with friends in the park with the ruins as a backdrop. That’s the feeling I’ve tried to depict with this piece so I hope I’ve captured those memories for other people too.
