I’ve been to Pugneys Country Park and visited Sandal Castle a couple of times, the first time I decided not to do any prints from the trip, but the second time was in spring and the light and brightness (even on a windy day) made much more of an impact on me.

I didn’t just want to capture the ruins of this medieval castle, I wanted a way to feature the moat, along with the motte covered in green bushes and the grassy bailey, both with flowers. I also had to sneak in a mini Emley Moor Mast in the distance.
